Allocate half an hour to yourself to improve your mental health and gain some new perspectives, and leave the session with much more clarity, and able to take the tools into your everyday life.

The why of wellbeing: discover how a connection to purpose is the linchpin for a true investment in your wellbeing.

In a world marked by intensity and unpredictability, investing in our wellbeing is not just a luxury—it's a necessity. The pressures of the modern world and our reaction to them, indicate a critical need for all of us to prioritise our physical, emotional, and mental health.

Despite good intentions, the path to better wellbeing often seems difficult. The question that tends to loom large is: why do we struggle to make lasting improvements?

This session will explore, if genuine investment in wellbeing is the goal, how a connection to purpose is the key to success.

Our Questions:

  1. WHY is Purpose Important?: How purpose can be a game changer in dealing with uncertainty.

  2. WHAT is Purpose – and what is a simple way to make sense of it?: Clarify and demystify the concept of purpose.

  3. HOW can Purpose help us?: Explore the practical ways purpose can enhance our physical, emotional, and mental health.

  4. WHERE do we find Purpose?: Identify potential sources and avenues for discovering personal purpose in the past, present & future.

  5. WHEN will you act?: Delve into the immediate choices for incorporating purpose into daily life.

Join us as we navigate these essential questions and embark on a journey toward a more fulfilling and purpose-driven life.

Since the last journal club, I’ve seen how much has changed, and how many beautiful things have happened in my life. Thank you so much.

I learned how my focus on the past hurts and disappointments, and on the negative (in general) keeps me stuck in life. I feel sad about not making progress, but I haven’t been able to make progress because of where I am focusing. If I learn to let go of what was/is wrong or difficult, and let myself see what was or is good/ going well, then I would be able to see ahead, and move, and make even a little progress in a better direction. I know that eventually I will find myself in a better place if I keep doing that.

The pro’s of journaling:

  • Reducing anxiety

  • Breaking away from a nonstop cycle of obsessive thinking and brooding

  • Improving the awareness and perception of events

  • Regulating emotions

  • Encouraging awareness

  • Supporting physical health

I enjoyed how there were different stages in the guided journaling prompts which we climbed towards, by reflecting on our first prompts and adding to them
