Diversity Policy

Diversity and inclusion is recognised and embodied within the culture of the Be Well Collective. We pride ourselves to be an inclusive workplace, where diversity is celebrated, recognised and included in all of our activities.

We do proudly reflect our inclusivity for diversity through our staff and board of trustees who compile a variety nationalities, sex, age and career paths which we believe to be of vital importance. We provide opportunities to those from all backgrounds within our organisation and proudly showcase diversity throughout our community.

At the Be Well Collective we ensure equality and diversity is driven within our organisation when outsourcing speakers, experts, temporary staff, models and volunteers. We understand the importance for those who benefit from our initiatives to recognise that inclusivity is highly regarded within everything we do.

Through communication with the London based model agencies who we work with closely, we highlight the importance of diversity to ensure that all individuals are given the equal opportunity to benefit from our resources and charity initiatives.

We believe that it is important to acknowledge that there may be a lack of diversity or inclusivity still for certain individuals within the arena of the fashion world, and strive to highlight times when these occur.  We champion the importance of every person in the sector as a vital and valuable part of the industry, who are entitled to be treated with respect and dignity.

We are officially endorsed by the British Fashion Council (BFC) and the British Fashion Model Agents Association (BFMA), who state that they are: “committed to developing diversity in the industry. It continues to encourage businesses and brands to consider the multi-cultural environment in which we live, as well as the global market, when employing models.” At the Be Well Collective we are committed to working alongside the BFC and BFMA to help develop these commitments.

We know that these issues are sensitive and that the language used to describe different identities is contested and evolving quickly. We welcome feedback on our approach and the language used. If you would like to comment, please email: info@bewellcollective.co.uk. Any feedback you provide will be dealt with confidentially.
