Sustainable English knitwear brand Sheep Inc. is launching a limited release collection of beanies designed by London-based designer, Daniel Fletcher to deliver continued mental health services and awareness for young adults.
Available in two styles, the naturally carbon negative beanies are made with 100% traceable wool, with the proceeds going to The Be Well Collective, a charity organisation which aims to tackle the rising mental health concerns of the younger generation.
Edzard van der Wyck, Cofounder and CEO of Sheep Inc., stated that Fletcher was an ideal collaborator because he “has made a huge commitment to making his garments as sustainable as possible.”
Cheshire-born Fletcher, who was GQ's 2020 breakthrough designer, was impressed with Sheep Inc.'s dedication to traceability and was introduced to the charity's founder Sarah Ann Macklin by a mutual friend, designer Henry Holland.
Daniel Fletcher, Founder of Daniel W. Fletcher said: "Mental health, particularly the effects of stress within fashion and the creative industries is a really important issue for me and one that I really wanted to support. Having been hospitalised myself after completing my first collection it’s something I have experienced first hand so I hope that this collaboration can support the amazing work the The Be Well Collective does."
The beanies, which say "Be Well" on the front are available on Sheep Inc.'s online store.
