Be Well Collective charity partner of The Humanians NFT
The Be Well Collective is excited to announce that we are the official charity for The Humanians. Amber Day, the creator of Visbii, has teamed up with NFT creation studio Odd One Out Labs to create - The Humanians, a socially conscious NFT collection born on the Ethereum Blockchain, with an active and rapidly growing Twitter and Discord community, The Humanians will be launching their NFT collection end of April 2022.
The Be Well Collective will be operating as a partner charity to raise awareness and offer resources, guidance, and education encompassing topics such as body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), depression, anxiety, nutrition, mindfulness, sleep, and general mental wellbeing.
We will be supporting The Humanian’s mission to create a real impact in the NFTverse by assisting them to be an active force in bringing awareness to the unrealistic self-image expectations perpetuated by modern and social media and the effects this has on the mental wellbeing of society, especially online.
The Humanians is a socially conscious NFT project co-created by established female artists, VISBII.
It's all about real-world utility with a great roadmap that delivers real value to its holders and community. "Humania empowers everyone to make a difference both offline and online. We are teaming up internationally with charities and foundations, raising awareness and helping those who've been affected by BDD and other mental health issues." says Gawain Blizzard, Co-Founder and Director of Odd One Out Labs.
As per The Humanian roadmap 20% of mint sales will be donated to The Body Dysmorphic Foundation and The Be Well Collective. 20% of secondary sales will be donated to charities and other causes of The Humanian's community NFT holder's choice; paving the way to bring a proactive community participation to the NFT space and community.
The Humanian’s also have an in-house mental health professional Ouma Cazaril, a registered NHS Mental Health nurse who holds regular workshops on their Discord every Tuesday and Wednesday (8 - 9 PM GMT) and Saturday (8 AM GMT) where she shares her knowledge interactively and provides support to the Humanian community. The interactive events involve Ouma sharing her expertise on improving physical and emotional well-being, as well as assisting the community with topics such as sleep hygiene, managing the fear of missing out, work-life balance, and coping with frustrations, both in real life and online spaces.
The Be Well Collective and The Humanians hope to make a significant difference in the world by promoting body acceptance and elevating our conversations about mental health and body dysmorphic disorder through this partnership. We believe that everyone can contribute to a brighter future. We all have the ability to improve the world a little bit everyday, one Humanian at a time.
Here’s a little video from Sarah Ann’s recent catch-up with the team.
Fast forward to late May, and Sarah Ann Macklin picked up a cheque and said, “I’m thrilled that this donation can help support us to bring on more team members to extend the needed resources Be Well delivers.”.
